Day 02 Longyearbyen
Explore Longyearbyen on foot, discovering its shops, galleries, and local charm. Join an included excursion before boarding your ship to begin your Arctic voyage.
Day 03 Peaceful Ny-Ålesund
Explore Ny-Ålesund, one of the world’s northernmost settlements and a hub for Arctic research. Discover its historic past and stunning fjords, with chances for hikes and small-boat excursions.
Day 04 Northwest Spitsbergen National Park
Exploring Arctic Landscapes
Discover the striking beauty of the national park, with its rugged tundra, glaciers, and dramatic mountain scenery. Venture ashore or explore by small expedition boat to fully experience this pristine wilderness.
Day 05 The waters of Patagonia
Wildlife Encounters & Adventure
Keep watch for Arctic wildlife, including seals, walruses, and reindeer—and possibly polar bears early in the season. Join kayaking excursions, guided hikes, or take part in a beach clean-up for a hands-on exploration of the Arctic.
Day 06 Ice edge attempt
Sail toward the edge of the polar ice cap, where seals and walruses rest on drifting ice. If conditions allow, explore by small boat or enjoy the stunning fjords and blooming Arctic landscapes.
Day 07 Eastern Spitsbergen
Into Eastern Spitsbergen
If conditions allow, venture across the sea ice toward Eastern Spitsbergen. Keep watch for polar bears, walruses, and vast seabird colonies. Enjoy landings, hikes, or kayak trips for an up-close Arctic experience.
Day 08 Eastern Spitsbergen
Exploring the Svalbard Wilderness
Continue your search for Arctic wildlife as you explore fjords, glaciers, and ice-filled bays. In true expedition style, your route will depend on the conditions—each moment offering new opportunities for discovery and adventure.
Day 09 Hornsund and Bellsund
Sail into the stunning Hornsund Fjord, surrounded by towering peaks and colourful tundra. Watch for seals, whales, and bird colonies nesting on the cliffs. Learn about Wanny Woldstad, Svalbard’s first female trapper, as glaciers sparkle in the distance.
Day 10 Hornsund and Bellsund
Cruise through Bellsund’s snowcapped landscapes, rich with stories of past whaling and mining. Depending on weather, enjoy landings or small-boat excursions to explore this scenic and historic Arctic region.
Day 11 Return to Longyearbyen
Your Arctic adventure ends in Longyearbyen, where you’ll catch your flight back to Oslo. You’ll return home knowing more about Arctic animals, history, polar ice and climate change than you arrived with – and memories of an incredible experience.
